Enabling behaviors and boundary issues are a big challenge for families when a member is struggling with addiction, according to Mark Sanders of St. Raphael Counseling, speaking on Respect Life Radio, hosted by Deacon Geoff Bennett. "I love the fact that I can utilize faith in the practice that I do at St. Raphael's," said Sanders. "I have always had the sense that addictions really talk about the sense of a God-shaped hole in us."

"A desire to be cared for, a desire to be heard," is how Bella Natural Women's Care and Family Wellness attracted 5,000 patients in less than four years, according to Dede Chism, co-founder and executive director, interviewed by Deacon Geoff Bennett in this episode of Respect Life Radio.

 

Bella follows the "Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services," yet half of its patients are not Catholic, according to Chism, who explains the life-affirming mission of Bella, reproductive health care for women, as well as the abortion-pill reversal procedure.

 

Bishop Jorge Rodríguez, Ph.D., describes his life growing up in Mexico, his calling to the priesthood, and his surprise at being named the Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Denver in 2016. "The most important thing we have in the Church — besides Jesus, the blessed Eucharist — is the people we serve," he said in this Respect Life Radio interview.

“...A lot of our work is serving women who are pregnant, and women who have suffered after the sorrow of abortion," said Sister Maris Stella of the Sisters of Life in Denver. "And we've always wanted to serve college women better — knowing that women at that age, so many of them, are faced with choices — and so much of what is presented to them by the culture is so beneath their dignity. And so we wanted to stand there and be there with them.”
